Quality Management & Patient Safety Mission Statement

The Mission of SRMC Quality Management and Patient Safety Division is to provide guidance and assist MTF commanders and leadership teams in the oversight and coordination of all professional and allied health activities in quality and risk management, patient safety, medical management, clinical practice guidelines implementation, and Joint Commission Continuous Survey Readiness.


Director of Quality Management POC: DSN 421-2384

The Director of Quality Management is advisor to the Commanding General and MTF Commanders for all issues related to Quality Management, Joint Commission Preparedness, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Medical Management, and Credentials.

Joint Commission Consultant POC: DSN 421-2376

Regional Subject Matter Expert on Joint Commission Compliance, providing consultative assistance to all SRMC subordinate Medical Treatment Facility commanders, their staffs and the RMC Assistant Chiefs of Staff. Provides definitive guidance on hospital's Joint Commission accreditation and as a consultant on Accreditation Programs, Performance Improvement, and Quality Management.

Patient Safety Officer POC: DSN 421-2410

Regional Subject Matter Expert on Patient Safety, providing consultative assistance to all SRMC subordinate Medical Treatment Facility commanders, their staffs and the RMC Assistant Chiefs of Staff. Provides guidance and direction on issues related to Patient Safety Programs, National Patient Safety Goals, Sentinel Events, Root Cause Analysis, and Incident Reporting and Analysis.
